In EYFS/KS1 we aim for all children to have at least 5 recorded reads in their reading diaries every week. This helps grown-ups in school to understand the books children have been enjoying at home. The trophy is awarded to the class with the highest percentage of children achieving their target of at least 5 reads.
This week Class 6 won the trophy with a brilliant 96%, Class 5 came second with 70% and Class 4 came third with 65%. Well done everyone and please do remember to record in your child's reading in their diary to help them win the trophy for their class.
Key Stage 2 Trophies
In Key Stage 2, children are asked to read for at least 30 minutes a day. Some of this reading time is provided in class, within the school day, and some should take place at home. The reading trophies are awarded to the class in each phase (Lower KS2 and Upper KS2) with the highest average reading times. This week Class 10 won the LKS2 trophy and Class 14 won the UKS2 trophy. Classes 9 and 13 were only a couple of minutes behind so it was very close at the top!
Attendance Bear
Each week the class with the best attendance gets awarded AJ the Attendance Bear. This week's best attendance was achieved by Classes 12 and 14, who will share AJ this week. Well done!
