Remembrance Assembly

1st November 2019

In our Remembrance assembly, we took time to remind ourselves about how and why we have Remembrance Day.  We also had a visit from Mrs Ford and Will Males (Will used to be a pupil at our school), who presented parts of a play about a Great-Uncle of one of Mrs Ford’s friends.  In the play, we heard parts from letters he wrote home when he was involved in WWI.  Lots of children also drew tiny poppies on pieces of wood, which are in the entrance hall.  In a few weeks, we will put them into the KS1 garden area.
