Mrs Rawlins' Wednesday assembly

14th October 2020
In assembly today Mrs Rawlins talked about:

- this week's reading trophy winners
- which class won Ajay the attendance bear
- how many chicks have hatched in Year 2
- getting ready to wear red on Friday for Show Racism The Red Card.

She then shared a video of a excellent poet called Raymond Antrobus, who is a Black British poet. Go over to our eSchools assembly page to hear him reading his poem aloud. It is called 'The first time I wore my hearing aids'.

There is then an assembly song for you to join in with. Today she has chosen Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds'. The version on the video also has signing, so you can sing and sign along at home.

Even though we no longer meet altogether for our assemblies, we can hear the children singing the songs in their classrooms. It brings us great joy!
