EYFS/KS1 Reading Trophy

In EYFS/KS1 we aim for all children to have at least 5 recorded reads in their reading diaries every week. This helps grown-ups in school to understand the books children have been enjoying at home. The trophy is awarded to the class with the highest percentage of children achieving their target of at least 5 reads. This week, Class 4 won the trophy with 77%. In second place, was Class 2 with 68% and Class 3 came 3rd with 64%. Well done to all and please remember to record your child's reading in their diary to help them win the trophy next week!

Key Stage 2 Trophies

In Key Stage 2, children are asked to read for at least 30 minutes a day. Some of this reading time is provided in class, within the school day and some should take place at home. The reading trophies are awarded to the class in each phase (Lower KS2 and Upper KS2) with the highest average reading times.
