Anti-bullying fortnight 2023

13th November 2023
Each year, we spend 2 weeks on the national Anti-bullying week theme.  This gives the adults and children in school lots of opportunities to learn about what bullying is, to know how we respond to allegations of bullying at school and to be confident in speaking to a trusted adult if there is something you want to pass on to them.

The theme this year is to 'Make a Noise about Bullying', emphasising the importance of speaking up and not being a bystander.  This will help children to feel safe and happy in school.

We had a number of whole-school assemblies, including starting the week off with Odd Socks Day to celebrate our unique qualities!  Also, as a school, we shared the Todd Parr book, 'It's Okay to be Different'.  Many of the children created their own page in the style of Todd Parr - have a look below at their lovely ideas!

It is important to all of us that our school makes a firm statement against bullying and that we each do all we can to keep bullying behaviour out of Arbury Primary School.
