Y6 Mayan Masks

This week, Year 6 completed their art project all about the Mayans! We revisited our designs of our Mayan masks and were finally let loose with the clay! We developed our knowledge of techniques for using clay and experimented with these. We learnt how to use score, slip, stick and smooth to attach two pieces of clay together. Finally, we used clay to create our very own Mayan masks and then we painted them in bright, vibrant colours. They are all so beautiful and creative!
