Classes 13 and 14 (Year 6) Topic Work

23rd September 2021

Year 6 had a brilliant afternoon working collaboratively to find out all about the Andes Mountain Range for their South America topic. The children were split into groups and had to research an aspect of the Andes Mountains and create a poster. An 'expert' from each group then stayed at their table and had to present the poster to other groups who visited. Everyone had to write down what they discovered in clear note form, using bullet points. Afterwards, each group returned to their expert to share everything they had learnt during the lesson. During this lesson, the children developed so many skills including: reading, note-taking, collaboration and group work and also speaking and listening skills. Well done Year 6!
