Empathy Day 10.6.21

10th June 2021

Thursday 10th June is Empathy Day, and is a good opportunity to talk about how we can understand and share how someone else is feeling.  Empathy also helps us to turn that understanding into actions of kindness and compassion towards others.  EmpathyLab produce some lovely lists of books which can help children to learn about empathy; you can have a look at the document below to find out more.

As a school, we are all reading ‘The Invisible’ by Tom Percival on Thursday 10th June, and thinking about Isabel, the main character in the book.  Please feel free to listen to Mrs Rawlins reading the book – apologies for the less than great video quality, but the message is still clear!
