Felt making in Reception Classes

29th April 2019
Today we had a local artist come and work with classes 1 and 2, to create some pieces of felt art inspired by the painting ‘Squares with Concentric Circles’ by Wassily Kandinsky.

The children selected different size and colour felt circles, and joined them together by spraying them with a mixture of water and washing up liquid. They then rolled them in bubble wrap, and rolled the bubble wrap backwards and forwards, inside a rolled up towel, 50 times. It was great fun and the end results look fantastic!
