Year 4 trip to the Fitzwilliam Museum

12th March 2018

This is what two pupils had to say about the trip:

"On Wednesday the 7th March Year 4 went to the Fitzwilliam museum. It was really enjoyable and really interesting to see the Impressionist paintings and the Ancient Egyptian galleries. We were quite surprised to see how realistic the Impressionists paintings were. We saw paintings by Renoir, Seurat and Pissaro. For me it was like a dream come true and I felt really at home with all the paintings. You had to really think hard about the paintings because Mrs Rees told a story about Paris that linked all the paintings together. In the Egyptian galleries, we were fascinated to find out all about the facts that we hadn't known and couldn't learn about in the class. Although I had been to the Egyptian gallery before, this time with a guide and someone to help us I knew exactly what everything was. It was a really enjoyable day and we would like to go again."
