Y6 Arithmetic Booster

In the final Year 6 arithmetic booster of the term, the children were tested on their knowledge of related facts and written methods in a Christmas themed challenge! They were presented with over 40 arithmetic questions and had to use their knowledge of mental strategies and formal written methods to solve them. For each calculation which required an efficient method, the answer was written on a ‘bauble’. For questions that required a more formal, written method, the answer was written on a ‘present’. The team that answered all 44 questions first (and correctly of course!) were the winners. Which team won? Well the team who was awarded the star!
