Brilliant Makers club

7th March 2019
The Brilliant Makers have finished their flying objects!  The challenge was to help a creature or object that can't fly to flap its wings. The children started by making armatures from wire, masking tape, newspaper and Pringle pots. They then covered the structures in paper mache to create hard shells. In order to make the wings flap, the undersides were weighted with coins. The models were then decorated with acrylic painted and the string pulls and handles were attached.
The children were very proud to show their fabulous models in Sharing Assembly.
