Year 1 Science Investigation (with support from Year 6)

Year 1 have been learning about parts of the body during their topic ‘Animals, including humans’. They wanted to find out whether older children have a wider hand span than them so they invited Year 6 to test this! Everybody measured their hand spans using cubes and they found out that the older children mostly had wider hand spans but this wasn’t always the case. They also found out that the older children were able to pick up more cubes with one hand than they could. Everybody had a lovely time and the activity raised many interesting scientific questions!
