RSPB Bird Watch

10th February 2020

We are taking part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch. As part of this event, we will be encouraging children to look at the different types of birds that frequent our school site and conduct a bird count. We will then submit our results online to help build a picture of how birds in the UK are faring.

Today, two groups of children from Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 went on a Birdwatch to count how many different species of birds they could see. The data they collected will be passed on to the RSPB as part of Birdwatch 2020. This is what some children thought of the day:

'It was amazing to watch the birds.'

'There were lots of Robins , my friend and I saw lots of Robins.'

'It was satisfying to watch the daily life of the birds.'
