Funky Fingers in Class 1

7th February 2022
Every morning, children in Class 1 have a short, whole-class ‘Funky Fingers’ session. This session aims to help the children develop their fine motor skills and strengthen the muscles in the hands and arms.

Each week, they rotate around different activities in small groups. This week they have been enjoying squiggling with Miss Ellis, using scissors to cut out shapes with Mrs Griffin, working out at the dough gym, using tweezers to put small gems (scales) on fish and using pipettes to transfer water. The children really enjoy this session and it is helping them to develop the muscles needed for them to become accomplished writers.  What a fun way to learn!
