'Be More Tree' project - 28.2.24

28th February 2024
On Wednesday 28th February, 6 of our Year 4 children visited King's College Fellows' Garden to collect samples of the roots of plants growing in the garden.  The samples will be transformed into fabulous, microscopically detailed images by Jen, an amazing scientist.   Jen will be coming into school on 6th March to show our Year 4 classes the images, and they will be part of the inspiration for art workshops in school on that day for all of our Year 4 children, working with artists Sally and Caroline.

The visit was the first part of a super project which Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) have asked us to be part of, and we are very pleased to be working with them and to begin a creative partnership with King's College also.  We will be creating fantastic artwork in school on 6th March, and we look forward to being part of the Imaginarium event, 'What would nature do?', outside King's College on March 23rd and 24th!

More information to come, but this is the link to the event webpage:  What Would Nature Do? An Imaginarium Takeover At King’s | Cambridge Festival.

We look forward to working with CCI and to sharing our work with parents and carers too!
