Who we are

Rebecca Gravener

Rebecca originally trained as a primary school teacher before earning a masters degree in counselling.  She has managed school-based mental health projects for children and young people on both sides of the pond.  Most recently, she was a School Project Manager for the children's charity Place2Be at a federation of schools in southeast London.
As a first year parent, she is still learning about everything the school community has to offer.  So far her favourite things have included the Eid celebration, chaperoning school trips, and getting way
too excited about making jam jars for the winter fair tombola.
Lissy Klaar

Lissy has been involved with Arbury Primary School since the eldest of her two daughters started attending the school a few years ago. Both her girls are now enjoying the friendly community and are thriving at the school. Since her girls started at the school Lissy has helped out with various Friends of Arbury events and found it a great way to meet other parents and make friends, both for herself and her children.
With a degree in Childhood Studies and a background as a family support worker as well as extensive experience in marketing and fundraising Lissy is looking forward to both the social and the planning side of this role.
Neither of them wanted to take on the Chair role alone and were both chuffed to find someone else was interested... They met up, got on really well and soon decided to put themselves forward as a twosome.

'We are looking forward to building on the friendly team of parents/carers who have organised events in the past, bringing in new volunteers and continuing to contribute to school life'.
