Kingswood Diary 2022

This page will be updated during the week that the year 6 children are on their residential trip to Kingswood (12th – 16th September 2022).

Monday 12th:

11.45am - The children have all arrived safely at Kingswood and are looking forward to starting their first activity.

What a great start to our first day at Kingswood! We tried our hand at archery, low ropes and even an obstacle challenge! We ended our evening with a memorable night walk too. We can’t wait to see what our second day holds!

Tuesday 13th:

We have had an action packed second day at Kingswood. The groups have taken part in a variety of different activities including archery, obstacle course, abseiling, Jacob's Ladder and the zip wire. We also had a fantastic afternoon on the beach at West Runton rock pooling, building sandcastles and playing beach frisbee. We ended the day with hot chocolate and songs around the camp fire. It was brilliant!

Wednesday 14th:
It's been another super day at Kingswood. The children have taken part in lots of different activities. Today they did caving, climbing, shelter building and aero ball to name a few! The children are having a go at everything and we have been so impressed with their perseverance and resilience throughout the week so far. We ended the day with a tasty meal and some mini Olympics in the evening before bed!

Thursday 15th:

Our penultimate day at Kingswood has been one to remember. The groups have taken part in a range of different activities such as the zip wire, team games and problem solving, shelter building and night line. We wrapped up the day with a fabulous disco (Year 6 have some amazing moves!). We are so proud of the children and the amazing attitude and behaviour they have demonstrated this week which has been commented upon by the staff at Kingswood. They have really shown the true spirit of Arbury on this trip. We can't wait for our final morning of activities before we head home.
